Playing Trash Train by lalisa-doniho Playing Trash Train by lalisa-doniho
I found these kids, they were playing "trash train". They were collecting trashes and pulling it everywhere. Such contrast with kids nowadays that play with ipads and computers. This kind of things 'amazed' me. They are so happy.

Yes, I use to visit areas like that when I was younger. It was my parents teaching us how to appreciate what we have. People seemed happier being around each other than anything else.

Proof that we don't -need- all the crap we surround ourselves with. The trick to happiness is finding the best in what you have. I like this.

Nice job on the picture, and I love and hate the fact that you captured this because it should remind us of how different people look at their lives and what they do and don't have. But then again, no matter what you can always have a good attitude like these kids!! :D

And happiness is simple, enjoying life :D

This took me back to Mexico when I was out in the poorest parts. They were so happy, even though there was such pain in their lives. You could see only three emotions in them. Joy, pain, and curiosity. I wish more people would be like this.

It's wonderful that this got a DD. Congratulations on the beautiful picture.

What we see as pain, maybe they don't see it. When I see people in poor area, they are mostly happier than what is considered as "rich people".

Thank you so much :)
Honestly, I am surprised this could be a DD, because it's not a "pretty" picture but a real life that is in my opinion "prettier" :)

You made a really good point. Personally, I believe that it's because we know of what we do not have, and grow discontent in what we do have. With every thing in our society these days, we've started to ignore the simple pleasures in life.
Those who have less, know less of what they do not have. Of what they do know, they are happy to even be alive. Because they are content in living, small things can seem more amazing, and bring more joy to them. Those are the truly lucky.

Welcome! :)
Well it definitely deserves it. And what you said is very true.

Yup, that's true. We ignore simple small things of happiness in our lives. I think the media & advertisement build our life to be materialistic too. We try to achieve things that we thought is happiness.

Thank you for the comment :)

yea this is really nice. i'm glad that i wasnt shrouded in technology as a child as most kids are nowadays. it takes people's imaginiations away. takes away the magic of reality

This is why I mourn the existence of "convenience" technology. When I was a kid, I played similar games in my backyard because my parents couldn't afford much else. And I was so happy just the same.
